We met up at Hammond Mill Camp, Inc. early in the morning, geared up, and headed out to make the most of the day.</p><p>Even though we didn't manage to land any big fish, we still had a blast working the river. Steven tried his hand at throwing big swimbaits and did a great job adapting to the different techniques. The water was in excellent shape, with just the right flow and clarity to give us a good chance at tempting the fish. We drifted through some sweet spots, casting to feeding lanes and likely holding areas, but the fish seemed to have other plans today. </p><p>Still, the time on the river was incredibly relaxing. The partly cloudy skies kept things comfortable, and we got to take in the beautiful Ozark scenery at a leisurely pace.
